Rakesh Sudhakaran is the Chief Commercial Officer at Salama. He has 25+ years of experience most of which is in the Financial sector in the Middle East . Prior to joining Salama, he was the Head of Bancassurance and Affinity with Sukoon Insurance and also the General Manager for Equator Insurance Agency, a group company of Sukoon.
He held various senior positions such as the Global Practise Leader for Bank Distribution and Head of Bancassurance, Affinity and Partnership – Middle East with the General Insurance business of Zurich Insurance. Prior to that he was the Vice President – Bancassurance & Investments with Mashreq and the Director – Bancassurance, Gulf with American Life Insurance Company (AIG). During this period, he has gained rich experience in sales & distribution management, customer value proposition, project management and digital innovation.
Rakesh holds an MBA in Marketing & Finance from Amrita School of Business and a B.Com from University of Madras. He is currently pursing Professional Certificate in Digital Transformation from MIT.
