Personal Profile
Dr. Nashiru Iddrisu is a Chartered Insurer and Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana with over two decade of experience in insurance leadership, management, operations, distribution, and strategy. He has built a strong reputation for shaping innovation, strengthening governance, and promoting sustainable development within Ghana’s insurance sector. He is the immediate past Managing Director of Hollard Life Assurance, Ghana.
He is a Certified ESG Professional and Associate Fellow of the Boardroom Institute, committed to responsible business practice and industry advancement. Dr. Iddrisu serves on several boards, including the Ghana Insurance Association, Africa-Europe Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Tamale Teaching Hospital, and the Young Insurance Professionals (YIPS Africa) - Ghana chapter, where he is Patron. Dr. Iddrisu is a member of the Nobles international forum of West Africa.
As First Vice President of the Ghana Insurance Association and Chairman of its Life Council, he contributes to policy development, stakeholder engagement, sector growth, and leadership capacity-building.
He holds a Doctorate in Business Leadership, a master’s in applied business research, an MBA, and a BA in Social Science, with interest in sustainability, financial inclusion, and the future of insurance in Africa.
